The local fashion scene has been quietly moving drastically forward over the past couple of years. A number of upcoming designers have started making their mark on the industry and I am honored to share some of their stories with you. Our first feature goes to one of our many fresh and upcoming local designers Anicia Brooks. Getting to know Anicia Brooks Anicia Brooks is a young and vibrant upcoming designer based in La Romain, Trinidad registered under the name “Anibrook “. Anicia first got involved in fashion designing because her dream job ever since she was a little girl was to become a fashion designer. Over the years the dream grew which lead her to UTT (Caribbean Academy of Fashion Design) where she obtained a Bachelors of Fine Art in Fashion Design. The quote "I can work to fulfill someone else's dreams or I can work hard and fulfill my own” had a key part to play in influencing Anicia’s decision to work on her own.
