What's in my make-up bag!

My beloved makeup bag  <3 Okay so I finally got around to doing this (lol). Before I proceed let me just say that I am not a professional make-up artiste or have I ever claimed to be. I am a beauty enthusiast and blogger which in a little less fancy words, is someone who has a passion for all things makeup and blogs. I love make-up, I love trying new products and I loving sharing what I learn, it’s that simple. My make-up bag is far from having everything that I wish I could have but I purchase things as I go along according to what my finances can manage because y’all already know good make-up ain't cheap. Oh and yes I do have lip & eyeliners but I don't carry them in make-up bag unless, it's what I used that particular day. Having all in my make-up bag makes me lose them :(. I do also have a smaller make-up bag that I carry everyday for work etc. which contains just a face powder & powder brush, blush & blush brush, lipstick I'm wearing that

Lipstick Love – Everything you need to know about lipstick/Milani review

Many women don’t feel confident about wearing a bright shade of lipstick on their lips. But what only makeup artists and a few women know is that lipstick can make the lips very alluring if applied correctly. I went out & got a few Milani colours after I heard everyone on you tube raving about it. I was very careful in choosing my colours and well this is what I came up with.  If you've decided you’re going to wear lipstick, there are a couple of things you should know: Wearing your lipstick with other makeup – If you’re going to wear dark lipstick, keep your eye makeup light; if you are playing up the eyes, keep your mouth light with a gloss or light lip colour that doesn't stand out. Choosing the right shade of lipstick for yourself – This is where knowing your undertone comes in again. Warm toned women like me stand out in yellow/orange based colours like corals, orange reds, peaches, browns, whereas cool toned women stand out in pink/blue based colou

A simple guide to becoming fashion forward

Becoming fashion forward sounds a lot harder than it actually is. It only takes making a few basic adjustments and your well on your way to looking and feeling better about yourself. Fashion is and has always been a repeat of itself; style is and has always been what you make of fashion. ü   I’m sure you’re on social media, if you are like and/or follow a couple fashion/beauty pages to keep you abreast with what’s happening in the ever so changing fashion/beauty world. If you’re not on social media you can check out newspapers, magazines and blogs. ü   There is a difference between being inspired and copying a look, know it. Copying someone’s look has a slim chance of working to your advantage just because of the fact that everyone is different and was made in his/her own image and liking. It’s very okay to be inspired by a look and tweak it to suit your needs. ü   Do not wear what you are not confident or comfortable in. ü   Dress for your body, not age. Legs ton

10 Fashion Tips For Caribbean Girls Before Going Shopping

Shopping can be a drag for some people and for others like me it can be good therapy. Not putting the right amount of effort into buying clothes for you is one of the biggest mistakes women make. Remember the first impression is always the lasting impression someone has of you and while you may not be a celebrity or under public scrutiny it still is a good idea to try to put your best foot forward in terms of presenting yourself, and what a better way to start? ü   If you happen to find an especially flattering fit right off the rack, go ahead and buy doubles (in different colours obviously). When it works, why question it? ü   Jeans & T-shirts are without a doubt going to be worn at some point. The secret formula for a soft but formfitting T is 95% cotton, 5% Lycra spandex. For jeans to hold their shape, they need at least 2% Lycra. ü   A proper fitting bra is the difference between a frumpy, unorganized look and a shapely, structured look. The right bra will a

Bunji Garlin’s Most 6 Stylish Moments

Trinidad & Tobago has picked up the pace and is growing with the global fashion industry. Our celebrities locally have not failed us in representing our culture along with showing a sense of style. It's been an interesting couple of years for men's style globally; especially where entertainment and media is concerned, consequently there's never been a better time for guys to want to learn how to dress well. Clothes certainly don’t make the man. But they do make him better. This brings me to male local celebrity, Ian Alvarez better known by his stage name Bunji Garlin. Holder of Trinidad & Tobago’s first Soul Train Award for Best International Performance for the song "Differentology", Bunji Garlin has grown as an artiste and so to has his sense of style. Bunji’s fashion statements I can assure you has not gone unnoticed and as a result I couldn't help but highlight his 6 most stylish moments. #6  At #6 Bunji rocks a softer look than usual in
