Hey everyone, club season is back and in full swing in Trinidad and as opposed to carnival the fashion for ‘clubbing season’ as it’s fondly called
is two very different things. Let me explain, carnival has a more casual fashion
outlook mainly because most of the events are outdoor, the capacity of patrons
at one event also the nature of a fete (live performances etc). Club fashion
has more of a glamorous outlook because of its indoor nature consisting of ‘little
black dresses’, skirts, blazers etc.
My first after carnival outfit was this black and white, close-fitting,
above mid-knee length, armhole, cotton dress. I immediately fell in love with
it because I can dress it up or down. I like unique pieces but I absolutely
love clothes that I can dress up or down. I paired it with black pumps (sorry I
didn’t get a shot of them). I wore a pair of mid-size silver hoops, a silver
ring, white & silver MK watch and a black clutch with silver lining. When
going for a glam look always remember the unspoken rule ‘Less is more’.
My make-up consisted of light coverage foundation directly over
my facial moisturizer (no primer, primer tends to make me look to light at
night, especially with camera flash). NYX full coverage concealer in Nutmeg
Muscade was used to contour and LA Girl pro concealer to highlight, Loreal true
match face powder in Sun Beige as finishing powder. NYX mosaic powder blush in
café as bronzer (first time using this, I like the way it gives me a nice, warm
glow), MAC blush powder in pinch me for blush. Dark brown winged eyeliner (ran
out of black liquid liner), lined my waterline in white LA girl jumbo pencil to
brighten my eyes, eyelash extensions and Maybelline falsies volume express
mascara on my upper & lower lashes. Milani lip liner in no. 8 fuchsia and
Milani lipstick in flamingo pose, to add some colour to this look. Sacha fix-it
spray to hold my make-up.
Whatever you choose
to do, do it with confidence. Be your own type of beautiful.
