There are a lot of factors to consider when choosing your make-up but the most important factor in my opinion is being able to choose the right colour and shade. If your base make-up such as your foundation isn’t the correct shade for your skin, it can throw off your entire look. When considering shades for yourself, knowing your undertone is crucial because as I said in my previous article “your undertone is what determines what colours and shades look best on you.” Warm toned women are women with yellow, golden or peach undertones. You look best in gold jewelry. Gold, Copper, Bronze, Earth Tones and Orange-reds are your complimentary colours. In this case your foundation should be Yellow or Peach based; therefore look for shades with a ‘W’ in the name (E.G. Buff 6W).
