NEW PRODUCT ALERT!! Cool Sacha Products!

Buttercup Setting Powder (Ben Nye Banana Powder Dupe)
For some strange reason, I always thought that the more expensive a product the better it works. I’ve come to learn that this isn’t always the case and I’m ever so grateful for that lesson. I passed through Sacha’s Image Centre Price Plaza the other day to get the ‘Butter Cup Setting Powder’ after hearing great reviews about it. It’s a setting powder and is being compared to the Ben Nye Banana Powder. I’m always looking for a good dupe and this baby right here works just as good as or even better than the Ben Nye. It can be used all over the face but I just use it under my eyes for highlighting purposes. It’s really fine milled and it’s almost as if it melts into your foundation and it photographs nicely. Sacha has definitely out done themselves with this one. It cost me just $60TT which is a lot less than the Ben Nye Banana Powder and you can get it at any Sacha Store Nationwide. It is an amazing product; trust me!

Beach Bum & Strike A Pose
While there I decided to try their nail polish, the cool colours they had caught my eye. I’ve never used it before, not for any particular reason, just because I always just get my nail polish at wonderful world and they don’t carry Sacha. I picked up ‘Strike a Pose’ and ‘Beach Bum’ and let me just say these two words ‘In Love’. Strike a Pose turned out to be my go to nail colour for the summer. Beach Bum is my go to everyday colour especially for work. I used base coat and top coat and these babies stayed on for six days without chipping. THANK YOU SACHA. I will definitely be back. Oh and yes they are affordable just about $10 to $12 if I remember correctly.

Strike A Pose on me :)

Three must have beauty products this summer!

Garnier BB Cream & EOS Lip Balm #frontcamera #nofilter  It’s no surprise that I love makeup, so I’m always out looking for new products to experiment with. Two of these three products were introduced to me by my girlfriend and the third one is just something that’s been trending a couple years now. I came across the first product while at my girlfriends’ house, as y’all may know I’ve been doing the hair extensions thing a few months now. I love my extensions light weight & ‘flowy’ so I avoided putting oil based products in it, until I discovered KERATIN, Brazillian Tech by one ‘n only. I got it at pennywise & it was only $36.95. A coin size amount in the palm of your hands, rub it together & evenly distribute it through the hair and I instantly fell in love. It’s a treatment with pequi oil for straightened, permed or colour-treated hair so of course it can be used on your natural hair too. This literally gives my extensions life. I use it once every coup...

Mini make-up haul

Small make-up haul  Hey everyone! I've just started gathering products for my make-up kit and I went out on Saturday and picked up these little beauties *love struck smiley*. I got a chance to use everything so far so I just want to share with y'all my views. The L'oreal true match foundation in W6... umm not my favourite, it's a bit light for me which is weird since the W6 powder matches harmoniously to my skin. I'm hoping it's the tan I got from the beach last week and being out all day Saturday, will definitely give it another chance. Other than it not matching my skin tone it's perfect, it goes on smooth (with the correct brush of course, I used the MAC 188 foundation brush), it's lightweight, gives medium to full coverage and gives a nice 'glowy' finish. I love this foundation, I usually use MAC studio fix fluid but this is a nice cheaper alternative for everyday use. Milani Illuminating face powder in Hermosa Rose.. I cannot get en...

Simple Glam (Night out with the girls)

Hey everyone, club season is back and in full swing in Trinidad and as opposed to carnival the fashion for ‘clubbing season’ as it’s fondly called is two very different things. Let me explain, carnival has a more casual fashion outlook mainly because most of the events are outdoor, the capacity of patrons at one event also the nature of a fete (live performances etc). Club fashion has more of a glamorous outlook because of its indoor nature consisting of ‘little black dresses’, skirts, blazers etc. My first after carnival outfit was this black and white, close-fitting, above mid-knee length, armhole, cotton dress. I immediately fell in love with it because I can dress it up or down. I like unique pieces but I absolutely love clothes that I can dress up or down. I paired it with black pumps (sorry I didn’t get a shot of them). I wore a pair of mid-size silver hoops, a silver ring, white & silver MK watch and a black clutch with silver lining. When going for a glam loo...
