Of course everyone would love if they can go to the spa and
have a pedicure done every week, fact is most of us can’t for different
reasons, whatever they might be. I am obsessed with DIY remedies & projects, so giving
myself a pedicure at home ever so often is never really an issue. Taking care
of your feet may seem trivial until those babies start to act up. Taking care of your
feet is very important because they absorb the impact of your full body weight
with every step, keeping you balanced and upright in the process. Some foot
problems that can plague your feet are foot odor, cracked skin, fallen arches,
corns, ingrown toenails, fungal infections and even damaged bones can cause
discomfort and reduced mobility. While some of these problems are congenital,
you can avoid many of them with a little TLC. The best way to keep your feet
healthy is a simple regimen of daily care that will help keep your toes, toe nails, the skin, bones
and muscles of your feet clean and functioning properly.
A daily regimen is simple and includes:
- · WEARING YOUR SIZE. Ladies & gentle men for Christ’s sake, wear the correct sized shoes, wear shoes that actually fit.
- · Washing your feet daily. Your feet spend most of the day trapped inside a shoe. Wash between your toes, scrub your toe nails with a nail scrub brush and scrub your heel with a pumice stone.
- · Moisturize your feet to keep them soft, especially before bed.
That’s it. Love your feel & they’ll love you back I
promise.
NB: Real quick tip on keeping feet soft. Soft candle; it's cheap and it works just as good or even better than those expensive 'feet creams'. Rub a small amount together between palms till it melts and apply to feet
along with a pair of socks before bed. Soft candle cost about
$2.00 to $3.00 each *big grin*, I buy a few and stuff them into a jar for continued use.
