Mini make-up haul

Small make-up haul
Hey everyone! I've just started gathering products for my make-up kit and I went out on Saturday and picked up these little beauties *love struck smiley*. I got a chance to use everything so far so I just want to share with y'all my views.

The L'oreal true match foundation in W6... umm not my favourite, it's a bit light for me which is weird since the W6 powder matches harmoniously to my skin. I'm hoping it's the tan I got from the beach last week and being out all day Saturday, will definitely give it another chance. Other than it not matching my skin tone it's perfect, it goes on smooth (with the correct brush of course, I used the MAC 188 foundation brush), it's lightweight, gives medium to full coverage and gives a nice 'glowy' finish. I love this foundation, I usually use MAC studio fix fluid but this is a nice cheaper alternative for everyday use.

Milani Illuminating face powder in Hermosa Rose.. I cannot get enough of this it is amazing. It matches my undertone perfectly. It's a highlighter, bronzer & blush in one. I love this. The label says it gives your skin a healthy, sun kissed finish and it does exactly that. I haven't used it as a blush yet but I'm sure it won't disappoint. If you want to try this be sure to get a colour that matches your undertone.

Sacha Fix-It spray... I've only used it once, but so far so good. My make-up held up for 8+ hours. Will do a full review once I've used it enough.

NYX Full Coverage Concealer in Beige & Nutmeg Muscade... I used the beige for highlighting, it's 2 to 3 shades lighter than my complexion and it worked out fine, it blends well unto the skin, this shade is perfect for highlighting for me because I don't like my highlights to bright. Nutmeg I used as a contour, it works but a darker shade would have been ideal for my complexion.

Sacha Fix it Concealer... used as a highlighter for under brow bone, one shade lighter than my complexion so this works for me. Haven't tried it as a corrector because I don't have blemishes. May try it as a highlighter soon.

If you would like me to post about how to correctly match products/colours to your undertone, please comment below and I'd be happy to write a post.

Correct Way to Exfoliate Your Skin: Step-by-Step

As we age, the process of cell regeneration slows down. This means that the body is slower to shed skin cells and generate new ones. When old skin cells start to pile up on the surface of the skin, it can leave skin looking dull, rough, and dry. Furthermore, the build-up of dead skin cells can result in excess oil and clogged pores, leading to blemishes and acne. Proper exfoliation removes the barrier of dead skin cells clogging the skin and uncovers fresh new cells below. This opens the way for moisturizing products to penetrate more deeply into the skin, which makes them more effective. In short, a regular exfoliating routine will leave your skin looking fresh and healthy. Remove make-up - If you wear makeup, remove makeup first, there are a lot of make-up removers currently on the market both liquid and wipes. However for a cheaper, more natural alternative coconut oil or olive oil can be used for both face and eye make-up and baby wipes can be used for those with sensitive ...

Jordanna Lipstick Mini Haul

From left Mauve, Hot Pink, Plum Obsession & Radiant Red Finally getting around to doing this! It’s no secret that I am a lipstick fanatic so of course I went to the mall and ended up getting some pretty Jordanna lip colours and I just thought I’d share.  What I like about these lipsticks the most are not only are they affordable but they’re durable too. Jordanna comes in handy for everyday use like work etc; I also use them for evening and night glam depending on what lipstick I need.  Once they’re set properly (lip liner etc) they look gorgeous and they last a good couple of hours. I picked up three regular colours (in the silver packaging) and one matte colour (in the gold packaging). I’m not a big fan of matte lipsticks because sometimes they can be extra drying on your lips and crack but I tried this one and it’s not overly drying. It’s matte but with some moisture which I love.

LOTN - 'Enchanted' (Review)

Lipstick number two out of the three that I purchased from the Intense Collection by SACHA. In my last post I talked about the texture etc.. and I also mentioned why I absolutely love these lippies. So this post is just to show how the colour ‘Enchanted’ actually looks. Here it’s paired with L.A. Colours eye liner in ‘P615 Violet’
